Renewable energy is now the least expensive new energy source but in order to take advantage of the power of the sun and the wind we need to be able
to store the power for when it is needed. Electric cars have huge battery packs and these battery packs have large
spare capacity that can be used in the new world of renewable energy to stabilize the grid.
CHALLENGE - Build the plugs to connect these electic cars to the grid.

We have all heard of Tesla but all of the other car companies are spending billions on new EV models.
The new Hyundai Ionic 6 sold out in 24 hours. In 2022 more than eleven million EVs were sold.
The profusion of new models is remarkable with multiple new entries in the $20,000-$30,000, which will
bring sales into the mainstream. EV sales should reach 100 million units in 5 years. They will all need plugs!
